This was the last of the sightings of the two coons seen in the early morning hours of 14 April 2013, at the north end of Vallecito Reservoir, North of Bayfield, Colorado. you can see more of the semi-unscientific study of raccoons at the "Raccoon Diner" at the North end of Vallecito at our Okielegacy YouTube site.
It was at 1:44am, MDT, 14 April 2013, that one Raccoon was sighted coming down the tall pine tree slowly, staying by the tree for few seconds before moving halfway to the stump area. The Raccoon was eating seeds on ground as he moved closer to stump with two water-filled balloons smeared with peanut butter. The Raccoon did not want to do with the water-filled balloons, as he moved underneath the other hanging feeder near the creek. The raccoon continued eating there while another raccoon was moving into sight, just above the motion light, which was attached to the side of the pine tree.
The raccoon on the ground worked his way back to the pine tree and disappeared between the two pine trees. The coon in the tree did not come down until about 1:48am, after the other raccoon had left the scene to who knows where.
