Is there anyone out there that might have had an ancestor that attended the Alva High School, in Alva, Woods county, Oklahoma during the 1920's? If so, You might find The PowWow 1920 yearbook interesting.

Alva High PowWow 1920


This yearbook was published by the Junior Class of the high school, in Alva, Oklahoma, and marks a milestone in the rapid growth of the school. Stella Price Earnest, A.B., A.M., was principal of the High school back then with her high ideals, loyal services and untiring leadership toward a better AHS.

The building that housed the 1920 high school in Alva no longer exists, but many may remember it as the Old Jr. High school, located on Flynn Avenue, in the 800 block, north side of the street.
