13th Amendment To U. S. Constitution
We all should know that the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was the Abolition of Slavery. The House Joint Resolution proposed the 13th amendment to the Constitution, January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865.
It abolished slavery in the United States and provided that, "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the Untied States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
