REX GARD (96 years of age), Alva, Oklahoma, has passed beyond our reach of him, but to many he is still in our memories. Rex Gard died, 16 October 2012. Rex was born on December 24, 1916 on the family farm near Fairview, Oklahoma, and passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the age of 96 years. That birthdate is so close to my Dad's birthdate (27 December 1916), just three days apart. Another generation of pioneers is dying off before our eyes.
