Duchess' Snowy Domain
Well! Us Pugs, Sadie and myself, got stuck up here in Bayfield, Colorado while NW Okie took a road trip to California Friday. She and David are on their way back and spending the night in Kingman, Arizona, as we get this late, short newsletter ready to publish.
What are the roads like around Flagstaff, AZ & Gallup, NM on I40. especially, on Tuesday. That is when they may (or not) continue East and North towards Durango and Bayfield, Colorado, through Shiprock, NM. If anyone out there around the towns mentioned (mainly west of Flagstaff and Gallup on I40) have any information as to road conditions, we would love to hear from you.
One of our Colorado readers tells us that New Mexico's Channel 13 says the next storm system coming through here by Wednesday is supposed to stay south of our route. Gallup closed schools today, Monday."
By the way, speaking of OkieLegacy ezine, especially last weeks newsletter, did you receive a triple dose in your email inbox? A few others did including myself. It had something to do with our database mailing list and our ISP. Still not sure why, though. If it happens again, please let me. Thanks!
As to the SW Colorado snow around Durango and Bayfield, I hear tell that the high elevations around Vallecito had a total snow of around 24 inches since Friday. With a possibility of more snow on the horizon after Tuesday. Hopefully, we will be back in Bayfield tomorrow, late afternoon sometime.
We read this week that there was another small earthquake near Jones, Oklahoma this week. How many does that make around this area so far?
This sounds like an ISP server problem, because the way we have this newsletter mailing list setup is through our database and when we publish it our ISP server reads our mailing list database and sends an email to each subscriber. Even those non-deliverable emails that bounced back to us three times with the message that their inboxes were full, over-quota. I am assuming it was a glitch in our ISP server.
NOW .... I'm in off to bed with my sidekick, Sadie, and our Schnauzer buddy, Ruff!
