C. A. Meier Rites - 1957

"C. A. Meier Rites Are Held Tuesday -- Funeral for Charles August Meier was held Tuesday at the First Methodist church with Rev. Nelson Bradshaw in charge. Burial was in the Waynoka Cemetery under the direction of Marshall-Mason.

Mr. Meier came to Waynoka in 1907 from Pennsylvania and opened a barber shop in August. He had operated a barber shop here for 50 years, the longest continuous business under the same ownership.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Meier, two daughters, Mrs. Keith Hines, Miss Charlene Meier, three grandchildren and five sisters Mrs. M. Aherns, Mrs. A. Brillinge, Mrs. C. Geesey, Mrs. E. McCaffrey and Mrs. B. Bauer."
