Hurricanes

"My brother Ray (a graduate of John Marshall High school in OKC) lives on an island on the coast of South Texas and said that "Ike" missed them there with the exception of a small amount of rain and large tides + a hot wind that came in from the backside of the storm (temperatures up to about 109 degrees for a short time). One child (not a relative) playing in the surf was swept out to sea and hasn't been found but otherwise nothing spectacular. We had more rain here in Perry, Oklahoma than they did where he lives." -- Roy
