NW Okie's Corner
We just found out this last week that some of you haven't been getting your issues of "The Okie Legacy." AND... Some of you that have missed issues have found the OkieLegacy Archives. AND... Some have received the last issue, BUT... have missed some in the past few weeks. We are NOT sure what is going on here, because you are still on the mailing list and none of those we have sent out have bounced back this way. Are they lost in Web-Space? As Suspect Spam? Do you have a Suspect Spam folder?
On A Positive Note... We thank-you for your responses & replies. The majority of you are getting the weekly issues without any problems and have told us that you enjoy, appreciate them very much. Even those persons who are 80-something in years and confined to their surroundings look forward to each issue when they make it through. Several of you have mentioned how you look forward to it every week and thanked us for what we are doing. We have found out that there were NO problems receiving it in Delaware. Others mentioned that they were getting it "Loud" -- "Clear" -- "Just Fine." Others have found a few link errors in a couple of the newsletters but other than that, we are told we are doing GREAT! Still others mentioned, "Like the newer way of doing it by sending links instead of the huge newsletter file. My 10MB mail box fills up fast as it is."
On Another Note... We have been thinking about our own high school reunion (#39 - AHS Class of `66) recently that is only about a month away. How have we changed, aged over those 39-something years from when we graduated from high school -- ventured on new paths throughout our lives -- lost a few and gained a few friends along the way?
What brought all that on was a recent email we received from an old high school classmate this past week. They had spent some time with another of their old classmates and his parents in Oklahoma over the holiday weekend. His friend had traveled all the way from Winston Salem, and they had not seen each other in over 30 years. They had a grand time and picked up where they had left off. We think it is great that old classmates are able to come together and pick up where they had left off. True Friendships do last forever, don't they!
Remember... July 1-2, 2005, Alva, Oklahoma - AHS Class Reunion (`64, `65 & `66)
