Creek County Lands On Sale
The Oklahoman, dated Nov. 3, 1910, pg. 3, -- Tulsa, Okla., Nov 2, 1910 -- Four hundred and thirty-two tracts of 160 acres each of unallotted Creek county land will be put on the market Dec. 19, 1910 o the highest bidder. A total of 17,200 acres, some splendid farms, but a majority only fit for grazing, is to be put on the market. This is part of 2,000,000 acres of Indian land that will be placed on the market by the commissioner to the Five Civilized tribes, J. Geo. Wright.
The land must bring a price that will double the appraised value at the time the allotments were made. This means that the best agricultural land must bring less than $13 an acre.
