Early Days (ca. 1947) NW Oklahoma Children... "I think I know 2 names. The first name would be the one standing beside Connie (on left). If I am right her name is Linda Faulkner (her parents had the laundry mat). She was in Connie's class in school but she would have only been 4 going on 5 that next October. The one standing next to her (the blond) would be Monet Monfort. I am of course checking with my mom and as soon as I here from her I will let you know." -- Teresa Garner Hill - EMAIL: Aubreyandiansgma@aol.com
Woodford, Oklahoma Still Standing... "I would love to hear anything at all about the area my grandparents lived before they passed, as my precious memories of them reside there. I am presently living in Australia. I was happy to find you as I have searched before and I read that Woodford is a ghost town!" -- Linda Susan (Robertson clan by birth) - EMAIL: susanthestar@ hotmail.com
Farry, OK Descendants... "Evelyn Reed, Welcome back to the fold. I grew up in the Farry Community, in fact I remember of Floyd working for my dad A.C.Melkus. WE did not have the modern conveniences that people have today, so Flody would have to take a bath in the livestock tank, anyway he always left a plug of chewing tobacco, on the cement platform of the Windmill. Me, Francis Melkus, being a curious boy tried the plug of chewing tobacco. You can imagine what happened, at least I never tried it again, and never told my folks of the experience. Floyd''s sister Wanda (Reed) Melkus was my aunt. Francis R. Melkus of Amarillo, Texas." -- Francis R. Melkus - EMAIL: fmmel@sbcglobal.net
