Weather in Oklahoma

We have heard what some have said about the Summer weather in Oklahoma, "Yes it is strange and what cracks me up maybe I get a sprinkle at my house but at my sons across town it might be a downpour for a bit."

BUT... It isn't just Oklahoma. It happens everywhere. Here's what others say about the weather, "Isn't it interesting, though, how the weather guys tell folks that it's storming where we are, and it ISN'T. A few nights ago a weather man was talking about the storms all over our county -- I stepped outside to see if I should bring the dog in, and found NO moisture at all. We never did get any that night. Today, there was a fine mist for about 10 minutes and that was all. It appeared that Ponca City was getting plenty of it too, and now you say that you didn't. They're not always right but I realize that they are relying on instruments that are located 60 to 100 miles away from the areas and even my 2 identical rain gauges 3 blocks apart frequently measure as much as 1/2" difference."

You might hear other Oklahomans saying, "We got a tad of rain last night and around 4 today we got a tad more... but sure need more then just tads. It all looks but never makes it our direction... guess we need to start doing some indian dances."

Here's what another said about the weather wizards doing their rain dances in Oklahoma, "Well, the weather wizards are doing their rain dance again and maybe it's going to work this time. Last night they were saying on all the TV channels that there were storms in our county. So I walked outside to see the rain and there wasn't any. No moisture and no lightning! Tonight they say there are huge storms all headed this way. I could see some lightning in the south and in the southwest; and there was a fine mist in the air. I felt the wind in my face so maybe we will get some of it this time. Just have to wait and see."
