WARRICK/WARWICK - New Jersey...
"I am trying to identify the parents of James Warrick who was born in New Jersey. James's wife name was Mary Bennet?. James was born around 1795 and died in 1882. 1880 census shows James and Mary living with youngest son Henry, in Raritan Township, (Monmouth County) N.J. James and Henry were Basket weavers.
The name spelling (for this particular line) changed sometime between 1850 and 1860 from Warrick to Warwick.
James and Mary's children are: Moses b. 1836, Elisha b. 1836 (my ggg grandfather), Harriet b. 1837, Martin b. 1837, Charles b. 1838, Mary J. b1841, and Henry b. 1844. I believe James may be an descendent of Matthew Warrick (1683-1729), a Quaker who came from Yorkshire, England. Matthew married Frances Horseman in 1712 and settled in Burlington, NJ around 1704. Matthew's children are: Isaac, Jacob, John, Samuel, and Abraham. Any info would be greatly appreciated." -- Email: warwick@ncfreedom.net
