"Thanks for this article--I really enjoyed it. My family lived (some still do) near Wilson Creek, which they referred to as "Old Wilson"--I never heard about a "New Wilson"! Thanks also for the information on Durwood--my mother had said that a cousin was born in Durwood, Marshall County, but now everything refers to Durwood, Carter County; your explanation cleared up a minor mystery for me.
