Jim Herron Memories...

"I am a 76 year old woman and I knew Jim Herron. When I was in my teens in the late 40's I dated his grandson. I went to visit his (Jim's) daughter on their ranch many times and use to go out to Jim's room and sit with him and his daughter, Mellie as he would relate some of the stories for her to write the manuscript for him of the book, Fifty Years on the Own Hoot Trail. After his grandson and I went different directions we still kept our friendship and I still visited the family even after my children were born.
