Roger County Ghost Towns...

"Hello, I live in northwestern Rogers county and I recently bought an ATV. So... I ride back behind our property and found a spot where several very old buildings once stood. I was wondering if possibly this was the remains of an old fort or ghost town or what. I live approximatly 3-1/2 miles east of highway 169 on state highway 20. The buildings are about 1or 1-1/2 miles NNW of my home almost to the Caney River near Hobs Creek. If you have any information on this I would appreciate knowing. I have been told that it was possibly a stop on a stage coach trail. I have also been told that it was once the Rogers County jail. I have not confirmed either of these yet.
