Everything Is New

Here is another insight NW Okie discovered, April 29, 1999, concerning, "Everything Is New (Spring, A New Life of Respect)." What do you think?

I was browsing one of my favorite messageboards the other day and found this prose that someone had written, "We wrote down all the pains we put aside today and never let us feel, and we made a small fire in a protected corner of the field, and we read each pain and burnt each pain and let it fly away into the stars, and now we're ready for another day on teh earth." -- by darktides.

What a great way to start a fresh new beginning in the spring of our lives. Where everything is new and we let out pains be set free so that we can be re-born and have another chance to make things better and work to become a survivor.

Here's another great quote I came acorss on the web, "Investing the strength of your own respect. You can certainly respect others without having to agree with the things they say or do. In fact, respectful disagreement can be a powerful catalyst for growth and achievement. Think with respect, speak with respect, and act with respect toward others. It will surely make you more respected, and that's something which can pay steady dividends for a long time to come." --- Ralph Marston.

That is how I feel about you, my friends! I respect you for any differences and believe that any disagreements that we might have can help us mature during our growth and achievements. If we would only think, speak and act with respect toward others, think about how much more we all could achieve together as a unified whole to make this a better Universe for all. AND -- A genuine, sincere smile seen through the voice, eyes and touch will be a powerful stimulant toward how others react toward you.

Someone sent me this quote, "Sometimes I forget to be thankful for all things, even the pain. Even among the tragedies of our world. Yet there is always that hope that because fo God... Good can come out of any bad. This I believe with all my heart... by Lora."

I am still learning...

"You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus." -- Mark Twain.

One of my special friend's favorite sayings is, "Everythingn is New..." Those three words say a lot! My friend is a very wise person even if they don't see themselves as such.

If I may add on to that, "Nothing never dies! It only changes like the seasons. Giving us another chance in the Spring to decide what to make of those changes. You can choose to be a victim or you can choose to be a survivor. I will always choose to be a survivor and make the most of every situation and experience."

I will sow my seeds of respect, light, courage, endurance, strength, love and friendship the whole year and watch them sprout into beautiful flowers. Some may call them weeds, but I can respect that. it is because we all have different ways of viewing the same things. To grow and achieve we need to be respectful of others' differences and disagreements.

Don't be surprised if some Friday at high noon you might see Oakie strolling into town for lunch and end up at Cattlemen's Cafe with friends in tow. If you haven't had luch yet, then stop in and meet me in person. let's get to know each other and share history of NW Oklahoma families."
Have a great day... Linda (Oakie)

NOTE: Linda sent information about Sarah Caroline Wright from Pat James to Theresa Colvin in Las Vegas on the internet after last week's column with her request for information about Sarah Wright. Sarah was Pat's great-grandmother and she says she has lots of information for her. Therese said, "Thank you sooo much! I have encountered some of the most wonderful people since I began my search via the internet but you truly have gone above and beyond. I'm out here in Las Vegas, NV. If it wasn't for the internet I don't think I would have ever gotten anywhere with this search as a great number of the family were from the Oklahoma area!"
