It was 100 years ago, Tuesday, 6 October 1914, that the Amarillo Daily News, reported on it's front page headlines: Senate passes Anti-Trust Laws. Democrats to hold caucus in endeavor to finish and adjourn.

Washington, D.C., Oct. 5 (1914) -- The administration anti-trust program was completed by the Senate late on this date when the conference report on the Clayton bill was agreed on by a vote of 35 to 24. The Senate voted down a motion by Senator Reed to recommit the bill to a conference.
