Walking With Sadie

Well! NW Okie finally got back from Houston, Texas a week ago, and this photo is the only thing she gave me to work with this week. But maybe that ain't so bad ... these images are of the 45rpm RCA Victor Red and Blue vinyl records that we found at Traders Village in Houston, Texas while we were down there.

The Blue vinyl 45rpm record is Kiss me, Kate hits, part one & two, by Al Goodman and his orchestra. Part One: 1. So In Love, 2. Bianca, 3. Were Thine That Special Face. Part Two: 1. Wonderbar, 2. Always True To You In My Fashion, 3. Why Can't You Behave.

The Red vinyl 45rpm Red Seal record is Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 in C Sharp, Liszt, by Part 1 & 2, by Boston Pops Orchestra, Arthur Fiedler, conductor.

Another 45rpm NW Okie came back with was On Wisconsin, Souvenir recording,Lateral Cut, E2KW-5729, Music by W. T. Purdy, words by Carl Beck, played and sung by the University of Wisconsin concert band, Raymond F. Dvorak, conductor, 1952. On the other side of that same record is Songs To Thee, Wisconsin, and If you Want To Be A Badger and Varsity.

Anyone remember Pee Wee Hunt & his Orchestra playing The Darktown Strutters' Ball and Basin Street Blues?

We have put some of these old 45rpm records on our OkieLegacy Cincopa Site. Check out the Music at the top of the Newsletter on the left. The new mp3 songs can be found by scrolling to the bottom.
