Duchess of Weaselskin

[photograph of our home in the eleven hundred block of Maple Street, in Alva, Woods county, Oklahoma, 12 February 2013.]

This Duchess Pug is overcoming, surviving her hip displaysia and has been turning circles on all fours this week, but still have trouble climbing stairs. NW Okie gives me lifts up and down on things, though.

We heard about northwest Oklahoma's snowfall last February 12th, 2013, with around 5 inches of that white fluffy, beautiful snow. I suppose it has melted away by now, huh?

Our daytime temperatures the past few days have been rising into the 40F degrees, but mid-week this week and through the weekend coming up we may be getting another batch of snow. Do not know if it is a big snow front or small, though.

Original Settlers of Jamestown

We are still going through our Vol. IV, archives of the OkieLegacy ezine, and found a list of original 108 settlers that landed May 14, 1607 at Jamestown. They are listed by occupation. Do any of these names sound familiar to your family lineage?
