1919, April 7 - Col. Bowen Cites 43 Men of 306th

Regimental Order tells of heroic exploits in campaigns of 77th Division. Capt. R. J. Sprague praised. Member of Advertising staff of The Times showed great solicitude for safety of his men.

A general order promulgated by Colonel F. S. Bowen, citing forty-three officers and men of the 306th Infantry for courage and conspicuous service in the campaigns of the 77th Division, was given out by the 306th Infantry Association at its headquarters at 280 Madison Avenue. The order was sent out front he regimental headquarters in France on Feb. 16, 1919. [See PDF file with more information of the 43 men listed below.]
