NW Okie's Journey

Sometimes I wonder if and how long it will take me to get back the full use of my right arm and shoulder? I am continuing for the next couple weeks with my physical therapy for the fourth week for our post-mastectomy shoulder issues.

In a couple of weeks we shall find ourselves back down in Houston, Texas to finish up the reconstruction of the right breast with a permanent implant, and some tucking done on the left breast to get both breasts matched, equalized as to size, shape.

I do understand that the "Oncotype test" taken on my cancer cells was compared to a database of other cancer patients and how their cancer cells, treatment (Hormone, chemo and/or radiation) affected their cancer. My test came back in the low intermediate range showing that hormone treatment was the better course to take.

On Another Note The other day I caught a show concerning the history of Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, on the Bio channel. I went searching for news clippings and youtube.com video of that same show (or similar) to share with you this week. What we found was alleged conjectures that maybe Cassidy and Sundance Kid were not the ones killed down in Boliva in 1908. And what about the mysterious disappearance of Etta (Ethel) Place, Sundance Kid's wife, after the alleged death of Sundance?

Anyway, we shall give you some history to mull through and let you decide your own conclusion and do your own research if that interests you.

By the way, I am still learning the chords (G,C, D, F) on my mandolin. Haven't tried any easier melodies (songs) yet, and still practicing the the rhythm. That is coming along slowly.
