Walking With Sadie

Will! That NW Okie went and done it again! Left me in charge with my companion Ruff & Rob here in the snowy mountains of Southwest Colorado. They left early Saturday morning while I was still groggy from sleep, but NW Okie gave me a few scratches behind the ears and a tummy rub. So I am good for awhile at least. NW Okie says they may be back this way earlier than they had planned, though. That news has me ecstatic to get to see my human buddy sooner than later.

This week NW Okie found time to do a little research concerning Beaver, Beaver county, Oklahoma dating back to January, 1914. Back in January, 1914, the neighborhood news from the panhandle around Beaver county, Oklahoma, was reporting that the skies of 1914 were overcast and looked as if they citizens around Beaver county, Oklahoma would have some more snow. They guessed that the South Dakota Indians that predicted an open, mild winter without snow had better guess again by appearances that year (1914).

We also learn that Chas. F. Twyford was an attorney-at-law, in the Metzger building, in Beaver, Oklahoma. The Beaver, Oklahoma's physician and surgeon, L. L. Long, was making his rounds via automobile in the Beaver, Oklahoma area. As well as L. S. Munsell, MD. E. T. Davis of Beaver, Oklahoma was the dentist. The "City Cafe" of Beaver, Oklahoma was a short order, bakery and confectionery, which catered to the needs in good things to eat and drink. Their stock was reported in a n ad as compete ad choice. They also supplied your Ice needs, and the owner was George H. Rush.
