Oklahoma Bucks National Average

"It has been noted recently that our state of Oklahoma has been above the national "average" in new jobs for 3 years in a row (gaining by 51% this year alone), and considerably above the national average in "home values" (up again this year).

New jobs continue to open up because of additional factories being built (such as the new automobile factory in southern Oklahoma, and the proposed new refinery to be built in Cushing, which is the petroleum pipeline "capital" of the U.S., with a newer pipeline being presently constructed to bring MORE crude oil from northern Canada.

Some of this is because I-40 (the border to border highway from the east coast to the west coast intersects with I-35 (the Canada to Mexico international highway) in Oklahoma City!

NOW we're even getting an NBA franchise with the purchase of the Seattle Sonics basketball team and moving them to the huge Ford Center in Bricktown (located on the Oklahoma River in OKC). It's a never ending improvement of our state's continued economy.

We have recently added the central distributorship (warehousing and distribution) for Anheuser-Busch products here in Perry, and there's also a new OPEN arena just opened up near it (for rodeo's, etc.). We're still moving forward while some states are either stagnate or moving backward (in jobs lost, etc.). It's a great time to be living here and watching the progress that's being made." -- Roy K.
