NW Okie's Journey

I am an NWOSU graduate of 2001. My grandmother attended and graduated from Northwestern college with a teaching certificate 70 years prior and was very proud that I chose to go to her same educational institution. She told me about the Castle on the Hill and the 1935 fire and how glad she and her school mates were when it was restored. She encouraged me to visit the old building as often as I could stating how much it meant to her. I honored her request as much as possible during my time at Northwestern. Though my grandmother is no longer with us and I have also moved on, her memories as well as mine of the Castle on the Hill will always remain very dear to my heart.
