1913 - Another Company Begins Operations

Charlie Colcord had been one of the EARLY deputy U.S.Marshals (working under the hanging judge) patroling Indian Territory before the 'run', along with Bill Tilghman, Heck Thomas, and my great-grandfather (William Harvey Burdick). His Colcord Building in Oklahoma City stands on land that my g-grandfather (and a couple others) claimed in the "run of '89". He bought my g-g-d's land claim for a year's wages ($100).
