Pittsylvania Militia Co. & Revolutionary War

Folks My brother Jim reminded me that I also had an ancestor William Moffat who was killed at the Battle of Point Pleasant. Bill I saw a comment by you on facebook that indicated you needed a brush-up on the genealogy of our Point Pleasant ancestor. It is as follows: The genealogy on the ancestor killed at the Point Pleasant battle begins with John Moffett (1699 - 1742) who married Mary Christian (1704 - 1764). Their son was William Moffett (1740 - 1774), who married Mary Gardner (1749 - 1840). William was the man who died on the Point Pleasant battle ground. William and Mary's daughter, Mary Ann Moffett (1774 - 1840), was born very shortly thereafter. Mary Ann married Abraham Gobble (1775 - 1854), and their son was Berry Hill Gobble. Berry Hill married Eliza Fleenor (1819 - 1876), and their daughter, Rhoda Ann Gobble (1847 - 1929) married Daniel S. Barker (1848 - 1918). Their daughter was our grandmother, Martha Jane Barker (1868 - 1952) who married James W. Barker (1863 - 1938). Their son, of course, was our father Elisha M. Barker (1893 - 1961). Folks My brother Jim reminded me I also had an ancestor, William Moffet who was killed at the Battle of Point Pleasant.
