CommentsVolume 12, Issue 44 - Feature #5773Working Together In Hard Times & Moving Forward Thanks for sharing your live experience with us of what the crowd was like. They said it was young, old with mixture of all Americans coming together, shoulder-to-shoulder. I also loved Stewart's analogy of the people taking turns going into the Holland Tunnel. He absolutely had it pegged as the true representative of the "Real" America that we all know and LOVE! Why can't the Congress work together like the Real Americans do? Linda McGill Wagner - 2010-11-02 12:36:12 My husband and I attended the rally last Saturday. It was amazing! A wonderful NICE feeling from everyone - non-partisan, non-political, which was a great relief. Some very funny signs. I think the numbers (215,000)were underestimated since the crowd was shoulder to shoulder from 3rd street almost to the Washington Monument. The overflow flooded the surrounding streets. I loved Stewart's image of people taking turns going into the Holland Tunnel. So true and representative of the "real" America.
