CommentsVolume 11, Issue 11 - Feature #4225Capt. John Robert Warwick Family Photo Correction: oldest daughter was Mary Warwick, not Mary Wickes. Lori - 2017-12-10 23:38:13 I'm wondering is Capt. John R. Warwick is Wm Fechtig Warwick's brother for whom Wm's son, my Great grandpa John Robert Warwick bears the name of his uncle J. R. Warwick? Linda McGill Wagner - 2016-01-25 19:16:42 Search Pinterest Warwick Genealogy for more photos. Lorr - 2016-01-25 18:52:21 I have a photo of Corporal John R. Wickes, age 19, 1861, the year he enlisted. How do I upload it? Lori - 2013-12-08 09:54:48 Wow! Thatâ??s for posting this photo, and eternal gratitude to the person who rescued it! Left to right: Captain John Robert Warwick, (1845-1915) Confederate soldier, wife Mary Jane â??Jennieâ?? Cleek who was married to Henry Abbott Wickes, probably holding granddaughter Virginia â??Ginâ?? Wickes Bambi (b. 1909), oldest daughter Mary Wickes (unmarried) and other daughter Nancy â??Nannieâ?? Ester Given Warwick Wickes, probably holding her oldest child Theodore Wickes. This picture was probably taken in 1909. The next child was Mildred E. Wickes Campman (b. 1911; my husbandâ??s mother), then Robert Henry Wickes and Frank Abbott Wickes. We definitely recognize the faces from other old photos we have of this Pocahontas County family. Ironically Captain Warwickâ??s son-in-law was a Yankee and whose father, Lt. Benjamin Franklin Wickes, was from New York and fought in the Civil War for the Union.
