CommentsVolume 11, Issue 10 - Feature #4204Why Daylight Savings Time? What is it doing in your neck of the woods. Here in NE Kansas, on the Oregon Trail, it is still winter some days and every-once-in-a-while it is spring. Yesterday (Mar 7) we had about 0.2 inches of rain with thunder & lightning. Was in Newton, KS, on Friday past and a man from Dodge City said that the only way to tell if there was wheat was where there was a pivot for irrigation. He said that coming from the west, it did not start to show green until he reached Hutchinson. Another man from Russell said that the last good rain they had had was in October 2008, only a two inch snow since. We here are more fortunate in that we entered winter with fairly good soil moisture. But we don't need all that large solid rain nor rotating winds! Someone here asked me the other day why do we call the person who advises on investments broker? Cheers! jeb James E Bradley - 2009-03-08 21:34:39 Please submit your own comments below.
