Welcome, Wanda, and Howdy Neighbor to the Okielegacy weekly newsletter. Yep! Vallecito is a great place and the lake is so full this year with all the snowpack received this Winter. Actually, we reside in the Forest Lakes area, 6 miles North of Bayfield. We have ventured down to Farmington, NM several times.

It's interesting that you are just up the road from us here in Farmington. I really love to go camping at Vallecito; been doing it for a number of years. Yes, we live in a great area, mountains, lakes, forest, and down here a short distance great weather with access to the above. Comment from Wanda Krause, a friend of K. Updike.
