Catalpa (Catawba) Tree In SW Colorado

Linda I moved South in 1949 and I can testify about how good fish bait Catawba caterpillars are. There is one slight turn off to using them though. To prepare them to be put on the hook you have to pull their heads off and then using (usually a kitchen match stick) turn them wrong side out to expose their innards that is what the fish are crazy about. I have caught as many a six good sized bream with just one worm. Bill Barker
