Mrs. Emma ARCHER was the widow of my grandmother's uncle, Thomas P. CUPP. Their 14-yr-old daughter, Dovie Cupp, wasn't killed instantly as her mother was, but died several hours later after having both legs amputated. If it tells you what kind of man James Archer was, mother and daughter were basically dummped into a grave at Summit View Cem before sundown the same day. No funeral, no relatives present, no grave marker of any kind. Until 5 years ago, Summit View records only showed Emma and "an unnamed infant", buried in the same grave. They now know the "infant" was Emma and Tom's daughter Dovie. The remaining child, son Robyn (with a "y") never got over losing Mom and sis on the same day. Don't know what happened to the settlement eventually paid by the street car company, only that Robyn worked as a servant in various homes until he was old enough to become a steamfitter in Tulsa.
