Lincoln Bust at NWOSU

In the <i>History of Alva, Oklahoma 1886-1986</i> book there is a mention of the "Lincoln Bust" on Northwestern's campus.<br><br> It mentions... Lillis (Light) Strawn was a good friend of Frank Ingels, sculptor of the Lincoln bust located on the Northwestern campus. The Lincoln Bust was a gift from its creator, whose brother Roland Ingels was one of the 1915 graduates. The unveiling was done by President Grant B. Grumbine as part of the program for the commencement exercises the spring of 1915. A bronze tablet attached to the base list all the names of the members of class.<br><br> The class of 1915 was the first at Northwestern to graduate wearing caps and gowns. It was the only class which three sisters graduated at the same time. They were the "Light girls: Laura (Light) Prigmore, Lillis (Light) Strawn and lela (Light) Smith."<br>
