I am a Cameron on my Mother's side, Mary Stier Cameron Blandford. I have read this story many times and always found it a treasure of historical linkages. I am still trying to find reference to the Dr. John Cameron in the Local history. Only one Dr. Cameron, who escaped the "45" was later caught and executed, is mentioned. My linkage was through George Hugh Cameron, son of Andrew Warwick Cameron . His son was Andrew Warwick Cameron, my grandfather. He died in Hot Springs, Virginia approx. 1943.
