Training Pilots at Northwestern State College (NWOSU)...

In the fall of 1954, I began my sojourn at NSTC. One class that I took was taught by Prof. John Cameron?the subject was Physics. It was during that class that I found that he had taught Pilots in classes there at Alva. I was really suprised to find that out. I later went into the USAF and often thought of this fact.

Yes, they indeed did train Army Air Force Pilots at Alva because my husband's Uncle, Charles Russell Cummings trained there during WW II. We have some pictures and I will try to dig them out to share.
