Warshing Clothes Recipe

This sounds familiar, my first memory is of a gas powered washer, 3 tubs of rinse water, pumped by hand, one tub with "bluing", a pan with starch to do shirt collars and fronts, then hanging on the line (even in freezing weather), or drape them all over furniture in the house. Oh yes, the outhouses were very cold indeed. (An Okie from Freedom)

Hey, Steve, did you happen to see a date on this warshing clothes recipe?

OH my goodness that brings back a lot of memories and it is the way we washed clothes back in the "ahem" good ole days. Finally did get a old wooden washer with a handle that you pulled back and forth to agitate the clothes and a hand turned clothes wringer.

Do you have a date for this? It's amazingly thorough! Thanks for sharing.
