Duchess & Oakie's NW Corner

I spent my early years wandering around Tuck's wonder store. 1961 until 1975 I spent every summer just west of Tuck's working ground and wondering about Tuck's store. Does anyone know why Tuck kept the tools he sold on the floor? I've spent my later years wondering why Tuck did this. Please help me I don't want to go to my grave not knowing.
