The Alva Public Library has Jack Hayward's painting of Chimney Rock in its conference room. I was there last week.

Chimney Rock was always our landmark that we were close to Grandpa and Grandma Ealey's house when we visited them in Waynoka. I'm sure there is more information at the Waynoka Museum in the Harvey House. I've enjoyed going through the museum and the book store. The restaurant there has the best steak.

When I wrote the other comment, could not think of the artists name, but it has come to me. I seem to recall that Chimney rock was a favorite of the Alva artist, Jack Hayward. As I recall, a painting by Jack Hayward was the first time I remember any depiction of it.

Marvin, I think you are correct about the mural on the bowling alley building. It does show Chimney Rock and an airplane.

I could be wrong, but isn't there one of the Alva Murals on the bowling alley which shows the chimney rock?
