Katherine Gertrude Craig of Kingston, Ontario

Hello, This may be a long shot, hard to tell. I have been researching my family genealogy since last spring and have found out that my grandfather, Joseph Menting, who ran away to Canada as a young man, married a girl named Gertrude Phipps in Grimsby, Ontario, 1915. He was using the alias Gordon Jesse Craig at the time. He never spoke of her and I found out about her quite by accident. There was no further trace of Gertrude Craig after that. I know that before serving in WWI in France, he and Gertrude lived in Kingston. Like i said, this is a longshot; could this be the same Gertrude??
