1905 News - Remains of Murdered Mrs. James Found Near Weatherford (OK)

Hello, Okies! I am wondering if anyone is still alive who can assist my sisters and I in locating our family in Oklahoma? We are descendents of DeWitt and Angenetti Cattenberg and our father was listed as a "step grandson" of theirs in 1920 census. We never met his side of the family and he is now deceased. Anyone know these folks? Thank you!

After reading this story of the past, I was wondering what happened to the James' small child that got dropped off at the German farmer's home? Did Katie (DeWitt) James' Grandfather, Henry DeWitt, raise the child? Did Katie's husband whom she was going to divorce raise the child? Was the child a Boy? Girl?

Need to do some genealogy sleuthing to see what happened to those small things left behind, huh?!

For those of you into Genealogy... Mrs. Katie (DeWitt) James is the daughter of Henry DeWitt.

Does anyone know if this Katie James is any relation to Josie James DeGeere?
