Washington Elementary - 1952

Our son Monty Myers started 1st grade in 1952 at Washington School in Alva, Ok His teacher was Mrs Gill. Monty remembers a few cracks on the knuckles with a 12 inch ruler. Ironically Mrs Gill was his father's (Bethel Myers) 1st grade teacher in Hardtner, Kan.
