Weather Dog Report & More...

A few "HI's" to all reading Linda's great website. Up here in Cleveland, OH, we have been having $2.02 gas for a couple of days now. It's great. Sometimes lines have been long at the stations. It's been blistery cold up here lately. Yesterday, 2/17 was a high of 16 and last night was 7 in our suburb of Cleveland. It's high on a hill so we get lots of wind, (just like OK), when a front goes by. BRRRRRRRR !! Our son, in Florida, calls now and then to tell us about the 70 degree weather he's been having and laughs a lot. Not much snow this year, only about 47 inches. We broke the record last year of 104". It's not lke that all the time. Usually an average of about 65 inches spread out all winter. Snowblowers were at a premium. We got to know our neighbors real well while we helped plow some out and clear side walks. I've learned to drive on snow and ice very well. No matter the winter weather, everyone still gets out and shops or whatever. We have someone plowing our driveway now. We could have used him last year. It makes it a lot easier. We definitely have 4 seasons up here. I remember the one time my dad, George Cook, brought his tractor into town one night and used it to pick up people around town to get them to work when it snowed A LOT in Alva. It was in the early 60's. It was one of the deepest snows I had seen in Alva since 1958 when we moved into town. Y'all keep warm and Spring is just around the corner. So they say !
