NW Okie's Journey

I do not know what State Rep. Sally Kern (R) Oklahoma has against gays, lesbians and homosexuals in general, but she has brought much embarrassment to the State of Oklahoma with three of her bills lately. The dangerous of her bills is HB 1598, which deals with" conversion therapy" for gays in Oklahoma.

Walking With Sadie

Woof! Woof! This weekend in southwest Colorado was almost looking like a repeat of last weekend, but the snowfall feel a bit short when the warm, southern front moved in late Sunday night. There is a possibility that snow will fall tonight thru Tuesday, though. We did hear that Alva, Oklahoma got over 6 inches of snow over the weekend before the sun came out sunday.

WWII Friendly Fire (5 July 1943)

A Tale of Bonnie & Clyde (1930-1934)

In April 1930, Clyde Chestnut Barrow was sent to the Eastham Prison Farm, the first maximum security prison in Texas. Hard core criminals dreaded being sent there because of its grueling work assignments, treacherous conditions and difficulty of escaping.

January 1915, Tilghman Wants Rangers For Oklahoma

In The Daily Ardomoreite, Friday, 1 January 1915, front page headlines read: "Wants Rangers For State." A former peace officer, William M. Tilghman, said he would rid Oklahoma of bank robberies.
