NW Okie's Journey

It is coming upon a couple weeks since the mastopexy on left breast, and the silicon implant in the right breast was done at the Texas Medical Center, Houston, Texas, on an outpatient status. Everything went well, and I am recovering nicely, in my first year remission of Breast Cancer.

Walking With Sadie

Where? Oh Where has that li'l old NW Okie gone? And when will she get back to the Colorado Rockies? I hope it's soon, because I'm in need of a good behind the ear scratching and rubbing. Hey! Wait! Is that NW Okie that pulled in the driveway Friday between 12pm and 1p.m.? Whoopee! But ... I think I'll give her a hard time for staying away so long.

It is in the Palestine Daily Herald, dated 2 September 1909, Thursday, that we find the article about "Canyon City Gets Normal." This West Texas town bid one hundred and one thousand dollars for West Texas Normal School.

It was Monday, 23 March 1914, that The Daily Ardmoreite, out of Ardmore, Oklahoma, reported on their front page, "First Game Here Sunday," when the "Fort Worth Texas League" team was to play three games in Ardmore.
