1941 - Over The Review-Courier Trail

December 7, 1941, the following "Over the Review-Courier Trail" written by Arthur Bradbury, appeared in a northwest Oklahoma newspaper with mention of several NW Oklahomans, such as, Bill Lehl, McClain, Carl Seitz, Alfred A. J. Rauh, Russell J. Rauh, and others.

NW Okie had not been back but a few days, when a marmot walked through the opened door of greenhouse the other afternoon and did damage to a ripening "Early Girl" tomato and the plant.

1907 Baseball - Nationals Took Things Rather Easy

In The Sunday Star, dated Sunday, March 17, 1907, out of Washington, D.C., we find the front page headlines: "Nationals Took Things Rather Easy," as there was no trouble defeating the Sand Crabs at Galveston, and Cantillon's men reserved their strength for the game with Houston.

In The St. Louis Republic, dated 20 March 1904, in St. Louis, Missouri, we find this article concerning the first game played at Sportsman Park, April 2, 1904, between the Browns and Cardinals.

1906 - June 30th, Pioneer Judge Dies

It was in The Jimplecute newspaper out of Jeffereson, Texas, and dated Saturday, 30 June 1906, page eight, that we learn of a "Prominent Citizen of Oklahoma has departed this life." This citizen was a pioneer judge of Beaver county, Oklahoma.

Austin & Texas League 1905-1924

In 1905 Austin, Texas tried to join the Texas League but had to drop out because of financial difficulties. In 1906, the Austin Senators held a win for the team as they joined the South Texas league and won the title in 1906 and 1907, with nearly the same team as in 1906.
