Walking With Sadie

Since our CEO (Duchess, editor-in-chief) is no longer with us, we have given our Sadie Pug that position of "Editor-in-chief." Go get 'em, Sadie Sadie! It's your turn to shine and walk with us to discover the history of our pasts as we journey into the present and future. Sadie says, "Woof Woof! I've got some big shoes to fill with the passing of my buddy Duchess. She was the best! I won't try to fill her shoes completely, but will try to add to what Duchess started."

100 Years Ago, 1 January 1913

As reported in The Daily Ardmoreite, in Ardmore, Southern Oklahoma, via Chicago, Ill., Jan 1, 1913, one hundred years ago today, there was an unemployed mob that disturbed Chicago. It had police to disperse the crowd of 300 working men. They wanted work, not charity.

It was one hundred years ago today, The Daily Ardmoreite, in Ardmore, Southern Oklahoma, barbers were to raise prices of hair cuts to 35 cents after March 1st.
