Walking With Sadie

Over the Thanksgiving holidays we captured on video, dated November 27-30, 2014, the Vallecito Raccoon's Playground, at the north end of Vallecito Reservoir, in Southwest Colorado. The rascally rascals have been regulars at their favorite Vallecito Raccoon playground this year. We have included a merged, speeded up version of their nightly activities that occur between the hours of midnight to four o'clock a.m. each night.

100 Years Ago, 1 Dec. 1914, Tuesday

One hundred years ago today, December 1, 1914, it was Tuesday when this Ardmore, Oklahoma newspaper, The Daily Ardmoreite, reported the following front page headlines: Sudden Death At Enid Of Billy Clarke. Clarke died suddenly at a hotel in Enid, 30 November 1914, and no arrangements for funeral had been made.

According to The Day Book, Chicago, Illinois, 2 December 1914, Women were working hard towards peace in the war in Europe. Mrs. Pethick Lawrence of London and Mme. Rosika Schwimmer of Budapest were aiming to bring peace to the warring countries.
