NW Okie's Corner

Sometimes unexpected things happen to distract us from our dreams while we are awake and soundly asleep. It tends to get us off track once in awhile. That happened to this NW Okie a couple of weeks ago when she was rushed to ER in Durango, Colorado.

Thank Goodness for "Obamacare" and "Medicare!" Otherwise I could not afford to see a doctor, visit a hospital and/or get treatment. Thanks, Mr. President, Democrats and all those who worked hard for implementing "Obamacare" and "Medicare!"

1913 - 5 Legislators Are Sentenced

In The Tulsa Daily World, dated Tuesday, 5 August 1913, we found this front page headlines: "5 Legislators Are Sentenced." West Virginia law makers get from five to ten years in pen, convicted of bribery. The prosecution grew out of bribery charges in election of U. S. Senators by Legislature. What do they do to law makers convicted of bribery today? NOTHING!?
