100 Years Ago Today - 15 October 1912

One hundreds years ago, 14 October 1912, the political heat that was rising when a New York assassin in Milwaukee fired a bullet at close range, entering the breast, creating serious wound for Colonel Theodore Roosevelt, candidate on the Bull Moose (Progressive) party. Although Col. Roosevelt was injured, he delivered his speech while flowing blood diminished his vitality.

One hundred years ago today, 15 October 1912, we find that the New York Giants Win 6th Game in the World Series, with one more win it will tie, 3 all. The score was 5 to 2. This was three days after the Boston (Red Sox) Jumped one on New York (Giants), with the superb pitching of Wood pulling out odd game, although New York Giants secured most of the hits. Pendleton County, (West) Virginia - 1910-1912

The inhabitants of Pendleton county, West Virginia were/are the posterity of its pioneer settlers. This was said back in 1912 for this reason: that Pendleton is not an unbroken expanse of smooth, fertile land. It was also written the rural community is always the feeder of the city and the town, and Pendleton will remain predominantly rural.

According to The Bemidji Daily Pioneer, Bemidji, MN, dated Saturday, 12 October 1912, tells us that the World Series was being played as "Boston (Red Sox) Jumps One On New York (Giants)," with the superb pitching of Wood pulling out odd game, although New York Giants secured most of the hits.

If The Women Voted Alone

Have you heard about the Woman, Jane Addams, famous head of Hull House and leader in the Suffrage Movement, in 1912, who wrote of a hypothetical Society where the men were asking for the ballot and Jane Addams gave the arguments the women could very properly use against the men? Would that same"Hyporthetical Society" and the questions be asked of the men today?
