NW Okie's Journey

For 30 seconds or so Saturday morning, 11:07 a.m., Northwest Oklahoma was shaken again with another earthquake. This time it measured 5.1 on the rector scale at a shallow depth, about 17 miles northwest of Fairview, Oklahoma (near the Lone Mountain hazardous waste landfall).

The Magnitude 5.1 earthquake shook Northwest Oklahoma on 13 February 2016, 11:07:07 near epicenter. The location was 36.472N 98.681W; Depth 1 km; Distances: 28 km (17 mi) NW of Fairview, Oklahoma, 63 km (39 mi) E of Woodward, Oklahoma, 72 km (44 mi) W of Enid, Oklahoma, 104 km (64 mi) N of Weatherford, Oklahoma, 153 km (94 mi) NW of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Horizontal: 3.2 km; Vertical 4.7 km. There were reports of Northern Texas feeling the effects of the earthquake. What damage has the numerous earthquakes in that area done to the facility? Is it safe for the communities around there?

St. Valentine's Day Verses
Do you remember these verses of St. Valentine's Day? Which one is your favorite?
Shakespeare wrote, "I swear to thee by Cupid's strongest bow,
By his best arrow with the golden head,
By the simplicity of venus' doves,
By that which kindieth souls and prospers loves."

This is what the schoolgirls over a century ago did, plucking at the buttons on their gowns and uttering in a sing-song monotone on St. Valentine's Day in England:
"Tinker, tailor,
Soldier, sailor,
Apothecary,
Ploughboy, thief.

If, after sing-singing these words for a stated number of times they should first meet other than the one on whom of all mentioned in their hearts were set they scattered in great fright.

The earlier and most popular St. Valentine's Day jingle that has been handed down to the time period of 1909 was:

"The rose is red,
The violet blue,
Sugar is sweet
And so are you."

Much more kindly and considerate was the tender missive, even though it be sentimental, like the following:

"If you'll be mine
I will be thyne,
And so Good
Morrow, Valentine"

For St. Valentine's Day is a day of joy, of love, of happiness.

We shall overcome! Good Night! Good Luck!
